  My best racing advice is that you can only race as well as you train. Hit your training cycles with base mileage and strength workouts pre-season and building your speed while decreasing your endurance and maintaining your cardio as the season goes on. Train hard to race well but make sure to recover before races. You'll get the most enjoyment out of your training when you begin to recognize that you're beating more talented athletes simply because you train harder. Good luck!
