What inspires you to compete?
the adrenaline drive, i love competing in any of my sports. also the feeling on channeling all your hard work into a moment and seeing not the first place prize, but personal accomplishment. But, i still LOVE winning! who doesn't??
Why do you like this sport?
it lets you escape the busy rush of the world. you have no cell phones, just your friends, nature, and the ocean. you can get out any aggression through surfing, andits like a different world. there is nothing better than waking up at the crack of dawn and paddeling out with some friends and just having fun. i am always in such a good mood after is surf, and i could go on all day why i like it...
What has been your most embarrassing moment?
i got sucked into the Ponto Jetty in C Bad during my first contest. it was so embarrassing, but now i just look back and laugh!! haha i admit, it was very funny! now that place is one of my fave spots to surf

Hey Liz,
Well at least you got some surf there in SD. Its been to long in between swells for SoCal. That's why I came up here for a little while. I hate to say it but I got the Lane really good this morning. Off shores, solid over-head sets and a pritty reasonable crowd. SD should be getting a good swell in a couple of days... I hope you had a safe and fun new years! Viva La Pura Vida...

I surfed Steamer Lane this morning and got some cold, rainy, crumbly 3 foot reform waves. It was so cold that my skin felt like needles where being stabbed into my hands and face! B-R-U-T-A-L cold!!! I'll be up here until Sunday, but there is not much in the forecast for up here. Hopefully I won't become a shark snack. Yesterday I was up at Ojos, north of Davenport, and watched a great white attack a seal from up on the cliff! Such a gnarly thing to watch! Seriously, no BS! I felt a litte scetchy about surfing the Lane this moring. Anyway, Happy New Year girl, and hope we can hook up soon... Aloha.

Hey... What up Chika!
Sooo, how am I holding up during this flat spell? Truth is I NOT!!! I am going stir crazy. Jonzing like I on crack. Twitching. Not sleeping. Way too spun up on Monster drinks. Watching surf video after surf video of epic waves and progessive manuevers has turned me into the poster child for Bel View rehab. The Surfline.com video clips from the North Shore isn't helping! BTW, the Worst Wipeouts at Pipe is pritty sick. You should check it out with the quickness. OK, back to my point: Maybe I should take a page from the note books of Linsay Lohan, Britney Spears, or Paris Hilton (that slut) and check myself into rehab now! Sorry, my turret's kicked in for a second there. I need help and only one cure will due! Waves... But I'll be heading up to Santa Cruz in the next day or so, so I'm hoping to find a cure somewhere along the way. Until then, I'm just going to jonze, twitch, and suffer from turret's. BTW, how did you get over 10K views? My profile is only getting close to 6K views... I guess I'm the wrong gender! Stoked for you!!!
