Everytime I compete, I know even if I do bad, next time will always be better. Getting better inspires me. Everytime I compete, I grow. The more I grow, the better I get.
I am way into backcountry riding. Ever since I moved to Colorado, the options are endless. Even in summer, there is snow to be shredded. The feeling of riding backcountry inspires me to no end. It makes me feel as if I could ride forever. I tend to go big, find huge bowls, gnarly cliffs, and be a little creative with my riding.
Currently I work with ESPN in the Global X Development Department as an athlete assistant for the Winter X Games. Duties can range from escorting athletes from the halfpipe, slipping the halfpipe, crowd control at snowmobiling, and several other fun things.
Yes! Currently I am doing conditioning all the way up until December, with about ten other people. We do exercises that relate to snowboarding...alot of it is leg strength, and exercises that will allow me to excel when hiking those backcountry mountains. I train twice a week, on Monday and Wednesday for about two hours.
Life is absolutely great. Update: Aspen resorts open in 5 days, and competitions start in December! I just got a new snowmobile, and have defined my goals for this year as a rider: Nastar national champs Top 5 USASA nationals at Copper Top 5 Colorado Freeride Championships at Snowmass Win Helly Hansen Battle of the Bowls
